I’m a long-time member of the Drinking Studies Network, and a big fan of their Women and Alcohol cluster – especially their online speaker series. You can read more about the Women and Alcohol research cluster here.
After my PhD was recognised with the Alcohol and Drugs History Society’s Dissertation Prize, they invited me to share more about my findings with their members. On 30th October, I’ll be joining them to give a free talk on Zoom. I’ll be looking at some of my PhD findings and asking questions like:
Who really ran the alehouse in early modern England?
What was it like to be an alewife?
Why does this matter?
You don’t need to be a member, you just need to be able to watch it via Zoom. Hope to see you there!
